Happy first day of summer! With the Fourth of July looming ahead (ahh- we’re now officially in bikini season!), I wanted to share a berry smoothie recipe that I’ve been drinking this week for breakfast. Packed with antioxidants from the blueberries and strawberries, potassium from the banana, and omega’s from the chia seeds, this smoothie is not only healthy but super yummy!
Red, White, & Blue Berry Chia Smoothie
Ingredients:
– 1 Banana
– 4-6 Strawberries
– Handful of blueberries
– ~3 tablespoons Greek Yogurt
– 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
– Squirt of honey
– 1 cup Water
– Ice
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and blend– happy sipping!
Note– It looks seedy, but is actually very smooth– the chia seeds blend well.
