My boyfriend is not the best at eating his fruits and veggies– his idea of a ‘healthy’ salad choice is with fried chicken and heaps of Ranch dressing. Imagine my surprise when he asked if I would start making him smoothies in the morning (I make one for myself every weekday morning), and then even more surprised when he told me my tropical green smoothie was his favorite. With good-for-you greens and delicious fruits, this smoothie is a yummy and healthy choice for hot days.
Tropical Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
– 1 Banana
– 1/3 cup Pineapple tidbits (I use frozen from Trader Joe’s)
– 1/3 cup Mango (Again, I use frozen from Trader Joe’s)
– Large handful Spinach
– Large handful Kale, stalks removed
– ~3 tablespoons Greek Yogurt
– 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
– 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
– Squirt of honey
– 1 cup Coconut Water
– Ice
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in blender and blend. Enjoy!
