If you’re like me, your holidays were filled with cookies, candies, butter (lots and lots of butter!), cream, fat and everything super yummy. While I have no regrets for the deliciousness I’ve consumed these past couple of weeks, I do feel that I need more greens and healthy foods. In comes this super dark, but super good-for-you green detox smoothie. Filled with super foods such as chia, antioxidant-rich berries and plenty of spinach, you can get your 2015 health goals off to a great start. This smoothie makes a healthy breakfast or meal replacement, it was my dinner last night!
Don’t let the dark color scare you– this smoothie is tasty! For a more tropical taste, substitute pineapple and/or mango in place of the peaches.
Green Detox Smoothie Ingredients 1 cup Spinach 1/2 cup Frozen Mixed Berries 1/2 cup Frozen Peaches 1 Banana 1 cup Almond Milk (or water) 1 tbsp. Coconut Oil 1 tbsp. Chia Seeds 1 tbsp. Honey
Mix all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth, add more almond milk if too thick. Drink up!
