It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a smoothie recipe, mainly because it’s been just too chilly to drink them! With it warming up here in Southern California, I’ve gotten back to my morning smoothie breakfasts. Currently I’ve been enjoying this twist on a strawberry banana. That traditional flavor we all love has received a healthy dose of veggies. It may not look the prettiest but it’s damn good and damn good for you.
Not-Your-Average-Strawberry-Banana-Smoothie Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 Banana, peeled
½ cup Strawberries (frozen or fresh)
1/4 – 1/2 cup Carrots (I use matchstick cut carrots, they blend up well)
Handful of Spinach (like, a really big handful!)
½ cup Greek Yogurt
1 cup Water
1 tbsp. Chia Seeds
1 tbsp. Flax Seeds
Ice
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend away. Drink up!
