Navy + Cognac

I think I’m in love… no, OBSESSED. I spotted these adorable cognac booties on Instagram and knew they had to be mine. I took a lunch trip to Kohls this week with my fingers crossed that they had them in my size. When I got to the store, there were NONE on the display shelf– noOoOoOo! I started digging around in the boxes because I don’t give up that easy. I came across a pair… well no, one shoe… in the cognac shade but it was half a size too small. Boo! I dug around some more and came upon a pair in black that was the right size. Even though I REALLY wanted the cognac shade, I tried them on anyways but they were slightly too big. So the smaller size would work! The only problem? There was just one shoe and the other was nowhere in that area. I held on to the one shoe and started walking down the aisles, lo and behold I found it randomly sitting by itself on a bottom shelf. Mine!

Speaking of good finds, it never fails– the day I wear a cute little dress or a skirt, a breeze will come by throwing it up. I would typically wear a pair of bootie shorts but then I get the dreaded VPLs– I just can’t win! Luckily, I received a pair of Jockey Skimmie Slipshorts, which are perfect to wear under dresses, skirts, even yoga pants if you need a little extra support. They smooth out lines so no more VPLs for this gal, AND when my skirt flys up, there’s nothing showing that shouldn’t be.
