I have three go-to’s when transitioning my dresses to be more seasonal and fall-weather ready:
1. Wear Booties: I mean, who isn’t excited to break out their cute booties? It’s still a million and one degrees out here in SoCal but I’m already pulling on the booties.
2. Add a Jacket: Or a dark hat, or a sweater, or scarf to instantly make your outfit cold-weather ready. One of my favorite fall jackets is my beloved faux leather jacket that I’ve had for years. It’s now perfectly worn and I love how it gives my pretty floral dresses an edge.
3. Darker Makeup: Add a dark lip, smoke out the eyes, anything that darkens your look instantly looks more “fall.” Not a fan of dark shades? Add more Earth-tones such as browns, coppers and golds, you can never go wrong with a classic nude or red lip!
How do you transition your summer clothes to fall?
