For me, a swipe of highlighter is a must to help my skin look more hydrated and fresh during the drier winter months. I’ve been wanting to review the Glossier Haloscope, an illuminizing dew-effect face highlighter, for months now– since purchasing, it has quickly become one of my go-to’s, especially when I’m in a hurry.

Haloscope is a face highlight stick, available in two shades Topaz (bronze pearl) and Quartz (pink pearl) that adds a gorgeous streak of pearlescent highlight to the face. What’s unique with this highlighter that makes it unlike any other is that it includes a duo layer- the outer ring provides the gorgeous illuminizing highlight, which is infused with real Rose Quartz crystals (so cool!), and the inner core is a vitamin-enriched moisturizer made from coconut oil, sweet almond oil and castor seed oil, that helps to not only hydrate but give this highlight a gorgeous, dewy finish. It is a cream formula so it glides on smoothly and blends in easily– I usually just blend using my fingers but you can softly dab and blend with a blender sponge.
I like that Haloscope gives a pretty sheen without being glittery or having huge chunks of shimmer. I think the Quartz shade looks great on my light skin, but would look beautiful on deeper tones as well. For me, it holds up pretty much all day long although I haven’t worn it while exercising, but since my skin is on the dry sides, creams typically stay put all day long. If you really want to glow, I recommend using this as a base for a powder highlight– it will really help to bump it up!
Have you tried Haloscope, yet?
