I had the most uneventful weekend and honestly, I had no problem with that. I ran a few errands (super fun stuff like buying a new toothbrush and doing the weekly grocery shopping), relaxed, took the dog for a walk and a whole lot of nothing. Good stuff, right? I did make some chicken enchiladas with a from-scratch enchilada sauce (recipe here) that was super yummy. At the beginning of each month I’m always surprised at a couple things. First, how it’s already April (my birthday month!) and second, how I still have so many beauty products to share, which is either a really cool thing or it could be indicative that I have a problem… nah, no makeup addiction here. Here’s the beauty products that I was loving in March:
How pretty is the Pixi Beauty x ItsJudyTime It’sEyeTimeEye Shadow Palette? This palette of 12 eye shades contains shadows that are silky smooth and blend nicely. I love mixing up the colors and trying new combos– so many pretty looks to create from soft, champagne eyes to a smoldering smokey look. Plus, this palette is under $25— insane!
While I don’t think it will take the place of my HG Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, I found myself reaching for the Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara all month long… and still am. While I don’t get the mega volume like my HG, I do get amazing lash definition. The formula is fantastic- not heavy and doesn’t clump- and the wand pulls the mascara through lashes perfectly for volume and definition. Definitely a winner!
Eye shadow primers can make such a difference in the wear of your eyeshadows. Lately I’ve been using Physicians Formula #InstaReady Eye Primer Duo— yes, you read that right, “duo” as in you get two in one. One of the primers is a typical matte primer- perfect for everyday looks, especially when wearing matte or satin shadows and is especially great for those with oily lids. The other duo is this gorgeous champagne shimmery pink shade designed to be worn with shimmery shadows. I’ve been wearing this shimmery primer on it’s own– it’s the perfect go-to for those on-the-go type of days when you don’t have time to create a full eye look. So pretty!
I’ve actually been using these Luxie Beauty Makeup Brushes on the daily for almost a year now and realized I haven’t featured them! They are synthetic brushes, meaning they’re cruelty-free and vegan. I’ve been using both eye and face brushes and find that the quality is fantastic, especially for the price. The bristles are soft, easy to clean, and how cute are the pink handles and rose gold detail??
Speaking of rose gold, I have been loving the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Crown of My Canopy, which is a gorgeous coppery rose gold shade. This highlighter applies super smooth and the payoff is WHOA- an intensely perfect glow. While I typically reach for lighter highlight shades, this one looks absolutely stunning on. Best part? It’s only $5!

I always love a good highlight! So pretty!
I need to try that mascara. I have found that Maybelline's Lash Sensational is even better than Better Than Sex.
The shades in that eyeshadow palette look amazing – and it's such a great deal!
I love the Pixi packaging! I just got a Julep eyeshadow duo and I'm loving it right now.
