How-To: Exfoliate Skin & Remove Facial Hair with DERMAFLASH

How-To: Exfoliate Skin & Remove Facial Hair with DERMAFLASH | A Good Hue

Have you ever tried dermaplaning? Do you even know what dermaplaning is?? A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of having my face shaved… yes, shaved… which is essentially what dermaplaning is. Shaving the face helps to exfoliate the skin, removing any dry skin, dead skin cells, debris and facial hair to reveal super smooth and brightened skin. This also helps to allow skin care products to penetrate into skin for better efficacy. Keep reading to find out (and watch!) how I use DERMAFLASH Luxe to shave my face>>

How-To: Exfoliate Skin & Remove Facial Hair with DERMAFLASH | A Good Hue

DERMAFLASH Luxe is the second version of DERMAFLASH (see the original here)  and is available in a 5-piece set. Each set includes a DERMAFLASH device (available in mint green or soft pink), five single-use blades, PREFLASH cleanser, POSTFLASH moisturizer, a charging dock and cord. The DERMAFLASH blades are uniquely designed to shave the delicate skin on a woman’s face and the sleek, ergonomic design makes it easy to use around the curves of the face.

Each device has two speeds– gentle and invigorating. The blades painlessly glide over the skin… in fact, it’s so gentle that even those with sensitive skin (myself included!) can use it. The device comes pre-charged so you can use it straight out of the box.

To use, pull back hair and start with clean, dry skin. I recommend using the included PREFLASH Cleanser to prep skin.  Holding the device at a 45-degree angle (with the hummingbird logo facing towards the skin) simply glide across skin.

You will instantly start to see peach fuzz and dry skin come off. Carefully glide around the face, steering clear of your brows, hairline and lashes— it will take them off! I love that I can easily maneuver the device around my face– around my nose, along my upper lip and even the corners of my mouth. You can even use DERMAFLASH on your neck and down to your chest.

After using, simply dispose of the blade. I recommend applying the POSTFLASH Moisturizer after as well to hydrate and calm the skin. Aside from slight redness (normal for me anytime I touch or rub my skin), I experience no irritation at all. Best part? The whole process is painless. I’m simply amazed at how bright and soft my skin feels after using this!

When I first used the device, it was really cool to see the side-by-side comparison of half my face shaved and the other non-shaved… such a difference! The shaved side was so much more brighter and smoother. After using, my foundation blends in easily and lays so nicely on the skin– it truly looks flawless. Similar facial services can cost hundreds of dollars each time so being able to experience dermaplaning at home at a fraction of the cost with same results is truly awesome.

If you are wanting to step up your exfoliation game and reveal more radiant skin, I highly recommend trying this must-have beauty tool. It truly is a game-changer. You can shop your own DERMAFLASH Luxe here.

I haven’t experienced any hair growing back thicker and darker–I heard that was a myth but everyone’s body and hair regrowth is different so I can only speak to my own experience šŸ™‚

So intriguing! I have little baby hairs all over the sides of my face, and I’ve thought about trying to regularly remove them, but I’m nervous they’ll grow back in thicker and darker. This Dermaflash might just do the trick.

I am actually getting waxed today because I grow hairs around my jawline, but something like this would be perfect for me to do at home!

I didn’t know that they had an at-home version of dermaplaning! I’ve never tried it but I’ve been so curious about it.

I would be so scared about my hair growing in thicker than before! I know SO many people rave about it, so I’m totally being overly cautious.
