March Beauty Favorites

March Beauty Favorites | A Good Hue

Happy April, all! April is one of my most favorite months because A) It’s my birthday month and B) It’s when it really starts feeling like spring and SoCal gets a lot warmer. I’m looking forward to spending more time outdoors now– even down here it’s been chilly out! Each month I love to share my top beauty picks– makeup, hair care and skin care– with you all. Here’s what was on my March beauty love list>>

For the past month, I’ve been finding myself reaching for the Tarte Toasted Palette. This palette has 12 rich, neutral shades in a mix of mattes and shimmers. The shadows themselves are velvety, super pigmented and blend amazingly. If you gravitate towards neutral eye looks, you NEED this palette in your collection.

See the pretty bronzed eye look I created using this palette.

Okay, so technically this is a men’s hair product but I think the Fatboy Sea Salt Pomade is all that and a bag of chips. I received it in an event gift bag and love using it to create piecey hair– I can use it on straight hair for a more tousled look or to add some texture to my beachy waves. TBH I don’t love the scent (I think my dog thought it was weird too) but I can’t really smell it after a few minutes.

One of my newest skincare loves is the brand DERMA E, and I am especially loving the DERMA E Advanced Peptides and Collagen Serum. I’ve been applying this serum at night and I’m hoping the serum will help keep lines and wrinkles away (especially those on my forehead!) for a few more years. Fingers crossed! This serum is packed with antioxidants and collagen– vitamin C, green tea, & other anti-aging peptides.

I am basically obsessed with the Physicians Formula Vitamin C Brightening Facial Oil Stick, which is just what it sounds like– a facial oil treatment in stick form designed to brighten and hydrate the skin. I will apply this in the mornings after cleaning my face— it’s not super oily and adds a great, hydrating glow. Along with vitamin C, it has unique ingredients such as kakadu plum, orange and sunflower oils. Plus, it has SPF 30 to offer protection… and it’s under $8 at Walmart, which is INSANE.

The Sara Happ The Lip Slip Lip Balm has been a favorite of mine for a few years now… I don’t recall ever featuring it on my favorites list though! I LOVE how it makes my lips feel so soft and slick and is especially great after exfoliating. I will usually apply when I’m getting ready in the morning, allowing it to sit on my lips while I apply the rest of my makeup. The balm gives a super high-shine but leaves lips feeling hydrated.

What beauty products have you been loving the past month?
