Review: Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip

Review: Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip | A Good Hue

I truly believe a lip color can change the entire vibe of your outfit. Think about it, would your cute little floral dress look the same with a vibrant hot pink lipstick as it would a dark and moody plum lip? Nope!

One of my fave liquid lipsticks at the moment are the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip. Keep reading to find out why they have become my go-to lipsticks and a closer look at ALL the shades, including swatches!

As liquid lipsticks these lippies pack some major pigmentation and have a great matte finish, but unlike other liquid lips, they’re actually really comfortable to wear. They are infused with rosehip oil so they don’t dry out lips or look crackly and actually help to keep lips hydrated as you wear them.

How gorgeous are these shades? The rosy pink nudes are some of my favorite nudes but I’m loving the brighter shades as well. My absolute favorite shade is Pastel Petal— it’s become my go-to nude!

From top to bottom: Au Naturelle; Bare Beauty; Matte Beige; Pastel Petal; Really Rose; Evening Rose; Peony Pink; Prettiest Pink; Orange Red; Real Red; Berry Boost

I love how smooth the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip lipsticks apply– not streaky or patchy. If your lips are on the dry side, I do recommend applying a balm or scrub beforehand so lips can look their best. I also like that they set fairly quickly.

These lippies are long-wearing, although I do find that I need to reapply (mostly to the center of my lips) after eating for the best look. Many times liquid lip formulas that are ‘hydrating’ don’t tend to last as long as typical liquid lips. These on the other hand do last and also feel great on the lips.

The shade range is minimal and most of the shades are on the nude side– ranging from peachy nudes to dusty rose nudes– which tend to be more popular. I mean, who doesn’t love a good nude??

Each Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip is $14– you can purchase online or even at Target

So tell me, what are your fave lipstick shades– do you go for the classic nudes or rock a bright red? Spill in the comments below!
