Happy New Year’s Eve! Today I’m sharing a quick makeup look that’s just perfect for NYE— pretty and shimmery with a bold red lip. I mean, is there really anything better than a pop of red lip for the New Year’s Eve festivities?

To be honest, my plans tonight include editing photos and watching TV on the couch. No parties, no going out– just staying in and getting comfy. I received the Laura Mercier Hidden Gems Eyeshadow Palette, which is filled with 12 vivid, beautiful eyeshadow shades that can be worn wet or dry. Two of the shades are matte, but the rest are super shimmery and just screamed ‘NYE!’ to me.
I love that this palette contains such a multitude of shades– you can create a more neutral look, smoke it out, or create some gorgeous, colorful eye looks. Personally, I think the shades look INCREDIBLE when applied wet, but I wanted a bit of a softer eye and created this look using them dry.
