With just under seven months until wedding day, I’m really starting to dive into wedding planning. Rule of thumb is to send out save the dates at least 6-8 months in advance so I needed to get on that… like, yesterday. Lucky for this bride-to-be, Basic Invite makes it SUPER easy to design beautiful save the date cards and to start planning for all my wedding stationary needs.
Continue reading to see why I choose to create my save the date cards with Basic Invite>>
1. Customization
With Basic Invite it is SO easy to customize your save the date cards. They offer 180+ color choices so your wedding colors are sure to be included and they even offer 40+ peel & seal (no licking required!) envelope color options. Each card is made with quality card stock (there are several paper options available), foil design options and non-photo card designs as well. The foil designs are so pretty if you want a metallic pop!
I went with the photo option as I wanted to share the engagement photos Steve and I had taken with Miysl photography. It was incredibly easy to upload the photo and update the text, fonts, sizes and colors. I love that they offer instant previews so I can see exactly what my cards are going to look like as I’m designing them and I’m able to make adjustments as I go along in the design process.
With so many beautiful designs, the hard part is choosing which to go with! Basic Invite offers custom samples— meaning you can create as many versions as you’d like and receive samples of each one. This allows you to try out different paper options, colors, photos and find the absolute perfect fit for your save the dates.
2. One-Stop Shop
As a bride-to-be, one of the things I like most about Basic Invite is that they have everything… and I mean EVERYTHING… I could possibly need when it comes to wedding stationary. In addition to save the dates, they provide unique wedding invitations, menus, programs, enclosure cards, and thank you cards. PLUS, everything can be matched to one specific design for a uniform look and aesthetic. Love!
3.Keepsakes
Not only does Basic Invite provide all wedding stationary, they also offer neat keepsakes such as wedding guest books, custom coasters, stickers, magnets and even FREE wedding websites! I wasn’t kidding when I said they are a one-stop-shop.
4. Easy to Send
I recommend using Basic Invite’s free address collection service, especially if you have a high number of invites to send. This service enables you to import contact information, which will then be directly printed to your envelopes. No tedious handwriting or label making necessary! While I didn’t utilize this feature for our save the dates, I would totally use this option for invitations.
Speaking of wedding invitations, Basic Invite also offers seal and send invitation options. What’s really cool about these is that they include both the invitation with a tear-away RSVP section on the bottom. You simply fold the invite/RSVP card, seal the back and then send– no envelope necessary!
5. More than Just Save the Dates
Not only can you design customized wedding-related stationary– you can create so much more! Basic Invite offers cards, announcements and other printables for ANY occasion– holidays, birthdays, birth announcements, graduation and more! Definitely keep them in mind for your next event or holiday.
Basic Invite helps make wedding planning a breeze and I highly recommend using them for your wedding stationary needs. Now through the end of January, you can score 15% off your order with code 15FF51.
