Wow, I can’t believe I am MARRIED! I took the last few weeks off of blogging because I was um, busy getting hitched, The past month has been a whirlwind– starting with my bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs! I’ll share more from the bachelorette, including my top picks for Palm Springs, but first I wanted to share this super cute tropical print maxi dress because it is just screaming ‘summer!’ and the beautiful Sands Hotel and Spa, which is truly a desert oasis.

Ever since I came across the Sands Hotel on Instagram last year, I knew I had to make it part of my bachelorette weekend. It’s located in Indian Wells, which is about 20-25 minutes from Palm Springs. I booked a brunch at The Pink Cabana, which is seriously the cutest, most IG-worthy restaurant I have ever been to!
Aside from being super cute, the food was actually really good. The menu is Mediterranean influenced with a Moroccan twist– I ended up getting the Spanish chicken tacos which were really tasty, along with a refreshing Moroccan mint iced tea. I am definitely planning to go back!
The hotel itself is perfectly designed with strong Moroccan influences but with that cool, modern Palm Springs vibe. I am definitely going to have to book a weekend trip here and hang out at the pool in one of the adorable cabanas.
The spa at the hotel is absolutely magical looking! We took a peek inside and were blown away by how gorgeous it looks… and I love all the pink accents!
I came across this tropical print maxi dress several months ago at my local Ross Dress for Less store. I knew I HAD to have it for Palm Springs! Plus, it was under $20 so it would have been a crime NOT to get it. The sleeves look adorable pushed down off the shoulders, but also work pulled up which is nice. It’s light and airy– perfect for the 100*+ temps out in the desert!
After brunch, we stopped at the Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs. Even though it was SO hot out, it was so cool seeing all the different types of cacti. Plus, we got to go inside the cactarium! Basically the cactarium is a greenhouse filled with rare cacti– it’s actually the world’s first, and I believe, only cactarium. Cool, right? The cactarium is a must-see when in Palm Springs… just don’t get pricked!
