Review: Drybar x Kopari Lil’ Charcoal Charmers Travel Kit

Review: Drybar x Kopari Lil' Charcoal Charmers Travel Kit | A Good Hue

You guys, I gave myself a black eye last week. No lie– I was kneeling by my desk putting some things under it when I teetered forward and BAM! I basically face planted into the edge of the desk. My under eye immediately bruised and swelled and I’ve been wearing a pound of concealer ever since.

I was hoping to share my latest Botox cosmetic procedure today but didn’t think an ‘after’ pic with a funky bruised eye would be very appealing.  So, while I wait for that to heal up I wanted to share a great set I came across at ULTA Beauty featuring two of my favorite beauty brands. Drybar and Kopari teamed up for the Lil’ Charcoal Charmers set and it’s one you’ll want to pick up stat– here’s why>>

PS- There’s still time to shop ULTA Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty Event! I’m sharing my beauty picks below.

Review: Drybar x Kopari Lil' Charcoal Charmers Travel Kit | A Good Hue

The Drybar x Kopari Lil’ Charcoal Charmers collaboration set features five charcoal-infused favorites from the brands all in travel-friendly sizes. This set is exclusive to ULTA Beauty so you won’t find it in any other stores! This set makes a great gift, perfect for travel or as try-me’s before you commit to the full-sized products.

The set has all you need for deep cleansing! Each of the products features super beauty ingredient activated charcoal, which is great for drawing out impurities, absorbs email and whitens teeth. Here’s what’s inside:

Drybar On the Rocks Charcoal Scalp Scrub: This sugar-based scalp scrub contains activated charcoal and gently exfoliates and cleanses the scalp to remove dead, flaky skin and help promote healthier hair. Scalp scrubs are my go-to’s during the dry winter months when I start seeing more dry skin flakes in my hair. I like to apply directly to my scalp and use my fingers to massage it in, mainly focusing on the front top part of my scalp where I tend to see the most dry skin. I’m sure I’ll be using this a lot more often come the drier months!

Drybar On the Rocks Clarifying Charcoal Shampoo: Clarifying shampoo that contains activated charcoal to remove impurities and product buildup without stripping or drying out hair. I tried a sample of this and fell in love– it’s my favorite from the entire Drybar line. My hair feels and looks more clean and shinier when I use this!

Drybar On the Rocks Lightweight Conditioner: The perfect accompaniment to the clarifying shampoo, I love that the formula is super lightweight. It doesn’t weight my hair down like many other conditioners. I find this conditioner is especially good for dry, fine hair types.

Kopari Coconut Charcoal Toothpaste: A  natural, plaque-fighting toothpaste does it all without any fluoride, sulfates or artificial sweeteners. The activated charcoal helps to whiten teeth safely without any sensitivities. I’ve really been liking this toothpaste!

Kopari Charcoal Deodorant: I am a HUGE fan of Kopari’s Coconut Deodorant and was super excited to finally try the charcoal version. It is an invisible, non-sticky formula– aluminum and baking soda free!– that glides on smoothly and hydrates your underarms. It’s predecessor actually came out on top for my natural deodorant showdown! I find that the activated charcoal especially helps with strong odors and sweat– definitely a must!
