Holiday season is upon us, my friends, and as most of us have come to realize, one of the busiest times of the year! Between shuffling to different holiday parties, buying gifts, planning menus and more– things can get hectic real quick. But the holidays are supposed to be joyful and merry, right? I’m sharing 5 tips to help you have the most stress-free holiday season ever… read on!
I recently received a Babbleboxx full of essentials needed to keep your holidays bright and merry whether you’re heading out to holiday festivities after work or getting some R&R in after a busy day. Here’s how I’m staying sane and having a stress-free holiday:
Stay Warm
Temps are getting cooler and that means sweater weather! Bundle up in a cozy cardigan– I’m loving the Ellen Tracy lounge collection, especially this super soft shaggy cardigan. It’s cute enough to wear around the house when it’s chilly and also out and about for a casual fall fashion look.
There’s nothing more stressful than getting sick during the holidays from being out in the cold too long. Grab a soft cardigan and stay warm!
Get Cozy
When the stress starts to hit– take some time out to relax. One of my fave ways to relax is just lounge around inside the house watching TV or reading. I’m a true introvert and getting cozy and relaxing is definitely my favorite way to unwind and recharge.
Speaking of lounging around inside, the Ellen Tracy lounge collection includes cute and comfy PJ sets. The drawstring lounge pants are loose– who wants to put on tight pants after munching a bunch of Christmas cookies?? The lounge top has a beautiful grey and white design and is super comfy as well. I love throwing these on to lounge around the house watching holiday movies, wrapping gifts, or baking and letting that stress just melt away.
Go-To Stress-Free Holiday Makeup
Holiday season means a LOT of events and parties– which in turns means a lot of festive outfits and looks and I really don’t want that added stress of trying to plan everything out. Having a go-to holiday look helps keep the stress at bay.
The Woosh Beauty Fold Out Face All-In-One Palette is absolutely perfect to get a gorgeous stress-free holiday look! This palette contains everything you need– concealer, powder, blush, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadows and brush set. It even includes a step-by-step guide, perfect for a makeup beginner.
Each all-in-one palette contains 13 items: 4 eyeshadow shades, 2 concealer shades, 2 contour powders, 2 blushes, 1 highlighter and 2 face powders. The brushes are numbered to correspond to the numbers in the palette to make it easy to apply (think ‘paint-by-numbers’). You can mix the shades as needed and create some gorgeous, holiday-ready or natural makeup looks!
I was impressed by the quality of products– the shadows and blushes were pigmented and I absolutely love the highlighter! While I think this palette is best for novice makeup users, even someone with more advanced skill would love using this.
This palette is great for travel and on-the-go— it’s basically all you need! You can throw it in your bag to easily touch-up your look for the office holiday happy hour and save room in your makeup bag when traveling to the in-laws for holiday dinners. Plus, it also makes a great gift for beauty lovers or those just starting out with makeup.

A bold, bright red lip is a MUST for the holidays! It instantly livens up any makeup look and is so festive. I love pairing a bolder lip color with a more neutral eye look to really have it stand out.
This season, I’m reaching for Grande Cosmetics GrandeLIPS Plumping Liquid Lipstick in ‘Red Delicious’.This liquid lipstick is super creamy and applies so nicely and evenly to lips. Plus, it has a pain-free plumping effect so lips look more voluminous.
The color is bright and vibrant and the wear is extremely comfortable and long-lasting. I love that it has a semi-matte finish so it doesn’t make my lips look overly dry. It’s such a fun color for the holidays and will instantly boost your mood!

Make A List… & Check It Twice!
I am a list maker– to-do lists, grocery lists, gift lists– you name it, I make it! For me, writing out everything I need to do helps me keep track of everything and cuts down on stress. I use a notebook heavily at work to help stay organized but will also use one at home. During the holiday season I write out lists of all the gifts I need to get, food I need to purchase and even important dates. Stress-free holiday? Yes, please!
The Levenger Rose Gold Leather Softolio and True Writer Create Metallic Ballpoint Pen not only help me with staying organized but are absolutely gorgeous. The Softolio is a must for the working professional (and would be the best gift!)– it features a soft leather cover, a beautiful metallic rose gold finish and includes two types of notebook, a zippered pocket and pockets on the inside cover for business cards, stamps, or whatever else you need to keep handy.
The True Writer Create Metallic Ballpoint Pen is the perfect accompaniment to go with the leather planner. This pen flows easily, is perfectly balanced and has a comfortable grip. Plus the metallic finish is so luxe looking!
The Levenger Leather Softolio and Truewriter Metallic Pen both make fantastic gifts, especially for the working professional. Use discount code DAYTOEVE for 25% off your entire order through 12/20/19 at levenger.com.
Practice Self Care
Finally, it’s always important to practice self care, especially around the holiday season. Holiday stress can do a number to your skin so it’s important to set aside that time for some self care and your skincare routine. This year I’ve been incorporating Colleen Rothschild into my beauty regimen to keep my skin glowing all season long!
I’ve mentioned the Radiant Cleansing Balm in this post— it’s easy to see why this is one of the best-sellers from the brand! The cleansing balm quickly dissolved makeup and impurities without stripping the skin– you are left with clean, silky soft and smooth skin. To use, apply to fingers, massage gently into skin then use a dampened muslin cloth to wipe off.
Along with dry, colder temps comes dehydrated skin. The Extreme Recovery Cream is formulated to deeply moisturize skin, protect the hydro-lipid barrier and contains anti-aging ingredients to soften fine lines. It’s fairly thick but blends into skin well– since my skin is on the drier side it will definitely be a moisturizer I’ll keep grabbing this season.
Another way to keep skin intensely moisturized and glowing is with the Face Oil N°9, which includes a mix of marula, moringa, and black seed oils along with much-needed omegas. You can apply on it’s own or pair with the Extreme Recovery Cream to keep skin moisturized. I love how luxe and non-greasy this facial oil feels. For some added self care, use this oil to give yourself and incredibly indulgent facial massage!
I hope this post has provided you with some takeaways for a stress-free holiday season… there’s nothing like stress and anxiety to kill the festive mood. Do you stress out during the holidays? What are some ways you minimize holiday stress? Share in the comments below!
Who wants stress killing the festive season? I certainly don’t! I manage the stress by staying cozy like you mentioned! An indulgent facial massage never hurt either!
Colleen Rothschild is one of my absolute favorites. I keep her dual enzyme polish in my shower and its the best exfoliant!
