I was hoping to take the day off for a spa day on my birthday at the end of the month. Sadly that will no longer be happening but I thoughts, why not just have a spa day at home? The plus side to this quarantine is more time to spend on ourselves. I for one have been taking advantage of this time to relax more, destress and spend more time on my skincare routine. You definitely don’t need to go to the spa to have a spa-like experience at home! I’m rounding up a few items that you can use at home to create a spa-like ambiance and do-it-yourself facial treatments.
Pour yourself a glass of spa water and get your self-care on with these fab spa day must-haves:
From top:
A foot bath is a must for a relaxing at-home pedicure– simply fill with warm water, bath salts or aromatics and give those tired feet a soak. This one is under $50!
If a chemical peel treatment is your thing, these Goop Glow 15% Glycolic Acid Overnight Glow Peel Pads are a must. They include a potent level of glycolic acid to refine, retexturize & brighten skin… all while you sleep!
Dim the lights and set a relaxing mood with your favorite candle. I love the Bath & Body Work Candles— so many great scents! I especially love their aromatherapy line, which includes scents to help you get your r&r on.
One of my favorite spots at the day spa is the steam room! While I don’t recommend doing your own extractions, the steamer works to open pores and helps promote the absorption of skincare products. This Facial Steamer from Amazon is top rated!
When it comes to at-home face treatments, I love a good eye gel mask. Pixi DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches are my absolute favorite– they cool and soothe skin while instantly reducing puffiness & dark circles. Pro tip: Keep in the refrigerator for an extra cooling treat!
Concerned with wrinkles and anti-aging? Try an at-home Skin Tightening Facial Device to soften wrinkles and improve skin quality. It even offers a 6 LED color phontons for different skin needs.
Is it really a spa day without a face mask? Add some serious hydration to skin with the Patchology Flashmasque Hydrate Sheet Mask in just 5 minutes. This mask is infused with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 to instantly hydrate and smooth skin.
Treat yourself to a cozy, soft bathrobe! In one of my Facebook groups, the Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Bathrobe came highly recommended!
One of my personal favorite treatments is dermaplaning to remove peach fuzz and exfoliate my skin. Dermaflash offers an at-home device that is SO easy to use (watch my how-to video here!). I 100% recommend this!
The best thing about spas? The relaxing scent of essential oils! I love that this Essential Oil Diffuser comes with a selection of oils so you can experiment and create your own relaxing blend… and it’s under $35 for the entire set!
Baths aren’t really my thing but every now and then I do love take an epsom salt bath to help detox, soothe sore muscles & relax. Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salts are a must to add to the bath for a relaxing soak or even the foot bath mentioned above!
If microdermabrasion is your go-to facial treatments than the PMD Personal Microderm device is perfect for you! This easy-to-use-at-home device is similar to professional treatments using suction and exfoliation to remove the first layer of dead skin to reveal younger-looking skin underneath. It’s easy to use and does not leave any bruising. You can read my full review on this device here!

I had a birthday during this quarantine too and it definitely wasn’t the same, but I still tried to make the best of it! I love that you are doing that too with this spa day at home. Birthday or not, I want to do this haha!

At home spa days are the best! Especially after a long day. I love my PMD device!! It has worked wonders on my skin!
