With summer quickly approaching, I am feeling the tropical vibes of the Bare Minerals The Beauty of Nature collection. The limited edition collection includes shades I can wear now and through the end of summer– vibrant greens, pretty peaches and poppin’ pinks. I recently created an easy, summer breezy makeup look using these products. Read on for the how-to and along with my full review on this collection >>
I started with a fresh base– foundation, concealer, and a touch of powder to set. I first used Bare Minerals The Beauty of Nature Gen Nude Natural Oasis Eyeshadow Palette on eyes. This palette contains six beautiful, lush shades inspired by beautiful tropical, island tones and florals. I love that I can create a super-soft natural look or bump it up with a bold color! ‘Papaya’, ‘Cabana’ and ‘Palm Leaf’ are mattes, while ‘Sandy Beach’, ‘Red Hibiscus’ and ‘Shimmering Sunset’ have shimmer.
Using a fluffy blending brush, I applied ‘Papaya’ to my entire lids, brushing up towards my brow bone. This matte creamy peach shade is perfect to use as a base or even wear on it’s own when you want a completely natural, soft eye look. Next, I blended ‘Cabana’, a soft matte terracotta bronze, into my crease for definition.
I then dipped into ‘Red Hibiscus,’ a stunning red copper shimmer shade and pressed onto lids and along my lower lashline. I wanted to test out all the shades so I blended in ‘Shimmering Sunset’ to my crease– it’s a very pretty shimmering violet shade.
To finish the eyeshadow look, I applied the light creamy shade ‘Sandy Beach’ to my browbone and inner corners.
For some added color, I lined the my top lash line with Bare Minerals The Beauty of Nature Lasting Line Eyeliner in ‘Agave’, a pretty dark olive green. I wouldn’t wear this shade every day but it’s perfect to add a pop of color to eyes or when you’re in the mood for something different. The pencil liner is double-ended with a smudging tool on the opposite end. I really liked how effortlessly this glided across my lid- it didn’t pull and it stayed put throughout the day.
After applying the liner, I went back over the line with the eyeshadow in ‘Palm Trees’ to boost the color.
For cheeks, I am obsessing over Bare Minerals The Beauty of Nature Gen Nude Powder Blush in ‘That Peach Tho’. It’s just SO pretty and that absolute perfect, on-trend peach shade. It’s buildable, so you can start out softly and apply more for bolder color. It blends nicely onto skin for a fresh-faced look. Love!
To finish my tropical-inspired look I applied Bare Minerals Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick to lips. I first tried the shade ‘Wisdom’, and while it’s a pretty bright berry pink shade, I didn’t feel that it was right for me. I then applied ‘Perception’, a darker berry tone, which suited me better.
The lipstick fruit oils and extracts to hydrate lips and making it easy to swipe on lips. I love how moisturized my lips look and feel– there’s nothing worse than a super drying lipstick! I also really liked the scent flavor– fruity without being overpowering.
The lipsticks are part of Bare Mineral’s permanent collection and there are so many gorgeous shades from nudes to soft pinks to bold reds.
Overall I am impressed with The Beauty of Nature collection and would definitely throw it in my next vacation bag! The palette is small enough to travel with but has enough shade variety that I could create several different looks. The blush shade is definitely one I’ll be wearing– it’s a beautiful color. I highly recommend picking up the blush and eyeshadow palette from this Bare Minerals collection for sure!
