10 Black-Owned Beauty Brands on Amazon

Black-Owned Beauty Brands on Amazon | A Good Hue

There’s no question that this past week has been heavy as the nation, and even parts of the world, erupted with Black Lives Matter protests. As protesters took to the streets, one thing was certain: we need change and we need it now. For me personally, I took this past week to reflect, educate myself and listen to our Black community, including my fellow bloggers. Moving forward, it’s important to me to continue supporting the movement in any way I can and I hope you will help support to effect change as well. One of those ways I’ll be supporting is by sharing more BIPOC & specifically Black-owned beauty, brands, authors, creators and more here on A Good Hue.

While this list focuses on brands available on Amazon, there are so many more fabulous Black-owned beauty brands that you should support. Below is a list of 10 beauty brands available on Amazon that I wanted to highlight and amplify this week. While compiling this list, I saw how many Black-owned beauty brands are not available on Amazon and I hope that changes soon. Some of these are brands you may be familiar with and others may be totally new to you, as some are to me. In fact, I have a few products in my cart now! Here’s what you need to add to your beauty collection>>

PS- Don’t miss the $1,000 Amazon gift card giveaway at the end of this post!

Briogeo Hair Care

Briogeo offers an array of hair care products for different hair types and issues. I’ve been using this line personally for years and have been so impressed with the products. Don’t Despair, Repair Deep Conditioning Mask is an absolute must-have. I have both the full-size and travel-size so I can take it with me when I travel. It’s that good. The Roscaro Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray is another must-have as it leaves my hair feeling soft and also helps protect against heat styling. SHOP on Amazon

Fenty Beauty

If you haven’t heard of Fenty Beauty I’m going to guess you’ve been living under a rock. Created by Rihanna as an inclusive makeup line for all, Fenty Beauty is known for a broad shade range. You can read my review here. I wear a couple highlighter products (Killawhat Freestyle Highlighter and Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick) and from the brand and they are gorgeous! SHOP on Amazon

Golde

Golde is a wellness brand but for me, wellness and beauty go hand-in-hand. The brand offers superfood-boosted blends with turmeric, matcha and more that can be mixed into drinks for skin, gut-health and other wellness benefits. I can’t wait to try their Matcha Turmeric Superfood Latte Blend, it sounds delicious! SHOP on Amazon

IMAN Cosmetics

Started by supermodel Iman in the mid-90’s. IMAN Cosmetics was created specifically with women of color in mind. The brand boasts a full collection of products for face, eyes and lips in a multitude of shades and finishes. SHOP on Amazon

The Lip Bar

The Lip Bar is an inclusive makeup brand that is vegan and cruelty-free. Not only do they offer an array of gorgeous lip colors, they offer products for face and eyes as well including eyeshadow, bronzer/blush duos, foundation and more. Fun fact, the founders were actually turned down on Shark Tank but didn’t let that stop them from pushing ahead and follow their dream.  I’ve heard really good things about their lippies and can’t wait to try them out for myself. SHOP on Amazon

Juvia’s Place

I discovered Juvia’s Place in store last year and dead stopped when I saw their stunningly bold eyeshadow palettes… those colors! The brand offers a full collection of products for face (42 foundation shades!), lips, eyes and more. SHOP on Amazon

Mented Cosmetics

Another brand I have my eye on is Mented Cosmetics, which was started by two friends over a glass of wine and the hunt for the ultimate nude lipstick. Not only does the line offer a variety of nude lip shades for all skin tones, they have a perfect everyday nude eyeshadow palette, beautiful blush shades, nail polish and more. SHOP on Amazon

Bevel

This one is for the fellas– Bevel offers skincare, hair care and body products for men. While Bevel is owned by Proctor & Gamble, the founder has remained as CEO.  They have a great shave set that would be the perfect gift for dad! SHOP on Amazon

Emmaus Beauty

Emmaus Beauty is a luxury skincare line featuring plant stem cell technology and natural ingredients. These ultra-luxe products contain ingredients such as green tea, pumice powder, chamomile, glycolic acid and more. SHOP on Amazon

Hue Noir

Hue Noir combines color with science and technology to develop innovative yet trend-driven products for women of color. The line was developed by a chemist who found it challenging to find quality makeup for her skin tone. The line boasts inclusive shades, beautiful velvet eyeshadows and richly pigmented lip colors. I need to get my hands on the Lip Butters for summer! SHOP on Amazon

I love this round-up. The only one I’ve tried before is briogeo so I’ll have to snag some more of these brands to show more support on the beauty side of things!
