Yes, you read the title right– a no pigment makeup collection. The BECCA Cosmetics Zero collection offers two pigment-free products that promote skin as it is. No coverup needed, or as their tagline for the collection states ‘zero to hide’. The collection features a no pigment foundation and a highlighter to give skin that glass-like effect that has been popular for the last couple years. Both products are vegan and cruelty-free.
This collection is an outside-the-box innovation in a sea of beauty sameness but does it hold up? Keep reading for my full review on the BECCA Cosmetics Zero collection>>
No Pigment Foundation
BECCA Cosmetics Zero No Pigment Foundation is a silicone-free foundation skincare hybrid that has absolutely zero pigment. No shade guessing here! It’s designed to blur and smooth out for a super natural no-makeup look while diffusing light.
This product feels more like a skincare item than it does a foundation. Its aim is to minimize imperfections while providing skin benefits. The foundation formula contains hyaluronic acid and glycerin to hydrate skin. It has a matte finish though and helps with oil control.
The foundation comes with a little spatula to scoop the product out– I blend in directly with my fingers.
Here is a before photo with no makeup on. You can clearly see redness, uneven skin and a few blemishes.
Here is the after photo where I have applied the foundation, glass highlighter and a touch of concealer under my eyes & groomed my brows… that’s it! You can see how the foundation blurs skin giving it a soft-focus look. My skin looks more evened out and while imperfections are muted yet still visible. Not bad for no pigment!
Glass Highlighter
The BECCA Cosmetics Zero No Pigment Glass Highlighter for Face+Lip gives skin a glass-like highlighted glow by catching and reflecting light. You know that glow you get after a good workout? This is that.
I apply to highlight the high points of my face such as cheekbones to give skin dimension. It can also be applied to lips for a clear gloss shine. It’s not sticky although it does have a tackiness that takes awhile to dry down.
The BECCA Cosmetics Zero glass highlighter gives a very pretty glow to the skin and is great for those days when you want a natural-looking glow.
My Thoughts
While I like the overall blurring effect the BECCA Cosmetics Zero Foundation has on my skin, I don’t think it is a product I would go out of my way to purchase.
The no pigment foundation is $36 for 1 Fl. Oz. so it’s on the pricier side. I feel like I could get a similar effect by wearing a less expensive primer on its own. If your skin has a lot of redness or imperfections that you want to cover, this will not help. I don’t recommend wearing this as a primer as in my experience, foundation and concealer doesn’t blend nicely over it. It truly is designed to wear on its own.
I do like the effect of the BECCA Cosmetics Zero Pigment Glass Highlighter however again, I think a similar effect could be achieved using a clear less expensive lip gloss. If putting lip gloss on your skin is less than appealing and you want that glass skin effect, this highlighter is a must. The price is $24 for 0.23 Fl Oz.
What do you think? Would you try the BECCA Cosmetics Zero collection?

I’ve never heard of this brand but it sounds amazing! Definitely need to look into their products.
Highly recommend checking out Becca Cosmetics’ highlighters– they are the BEST. Also love their Backlit primer, so pretty!
Wow I’ve never heard of this, it looks so cool! I need to get my skin a bit more clear (struggling with adult acne) and then this is so something I’ll have to try!
Wow this is new to me! I didn’t even know about this product and it looks like it works so well on you! I definitely will have to check this out!
Thank you so much!
I’ve never heard of this so this concept is completely new to me…how interesting! I rarely wear makeup these days…May have to look into this more! xoxo, Sarah
I will say it’s great for no-makeup days when you want to look a bit more polished!
I have never heard of anything like this, but honestly, it reminds me of when I was younger and would shop the Claire’s makeup section and get items that weren’t designed to cover anything – just add shine or get rid of shine here and there. I can’t imagine how much I would see the benefit in this, since I’m a full-coverage gal… BUT it does sound pretty unique and I loved reading your thoughts about it!
Haha, yes– good ol’ Claire’s! Definitely not a good option if you need coverage.
Whoa this is crazy! I’ve never heard of anything like this! It seems more suitable for sheer coveraage.

Your skin is so flawless, do you have a post about your skincare routine? I love the concept of this product, enhancing what we already have, and making clear skin the main focus of a makeup look, especially when we want something that’s in between a full face of makeup and a bare faced day. Thanks for sharing, this is so cool!
I’ve never tried Becca cosmetics before but that sounds like a great product to check out. Love the simple packaging on it as well.
Your skin is glowing! I’ve never heard of this brand but need to try if it’ll make my skin look like yours!
I honestly haven’t heard of this, but find the concept super cool.
I never understood the point of this product. Foundation is suppose to even out your skin tone. How is it going to achieve that with no pigment? Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
