Is it really fall if you haven’t been to a pumpkin patch? I visited the Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Farm a couple weeks ago for some fall fun. Of course, pumpkin patch means fall photo ops and this one did not disappoint!

Pumpkin Patch Style
I popped into Target a few weeks ago and saw this lace skull tee– isn’t it the cutest? I’ve been living in graphic tees this year and love playing around with styling them. One of my favorite ways right now is with midi skirts, such as this trendy leopard print midi skirt. Each piece in this outfit is super affordable- I’m all about wearing those fall trends on a budget!
Is this cat ear wallet the cutest or what?! I figured this is the perfect month to pull it out, and pay homage to my own little black kitty, Knickers. The pumpkin patch had a gorgeous garden area with beautiful florals, sunflowers and fun photo opps. They also had rides for the kiddos, these super cool pumpkin blasters, zip line, petting zoo and more. Even though social distancing and mask wearing were in effect, it was still refreshing to get out and celebrate the Autumnal season.

Fun Fall Traditions
Celebrating Autumn in Southern California looks a lot different than much of the rest of the country. It stays about 90-degrees until mid-to-late October, there’s not a ton of foliage change and now with COVID restrictions, there’s not a lot you can actually do or places to go. In lieu of that, I rounded up ten of my favorite fall traditions and activities that you can partake in from anywhere! Here’s some fun fall ideas:
- Visit a pumpkin patch/ farm
- Make apple butter (so good and so easy!)
- Decorating the house for Halloween and fall in general
- Pumpkin carving
- Watch Halloween movies
- Snuggle up with a blanket and a good book (check out my spooky book picks here!)
- Dia de los Muertos celebrations
- Visit the mountains
- Make soup… lots of soup!
- Autumn-inspired treats (try my salted caramel pumpkin cheesecake ice cream!)
What fall traditions & activities do you take part in? Let me know in the comments!

You’re making me sad that I haven’t visited a pumpkin patch yet! I got pumpkins, but not from a patch – and it’s just a whole different experience. I might be nudging my husband to go do that with me today haha! I love your outfit. That skull tee is too cute!
I loved visiting a pumpkin patch when I was in Denver because Arizona does not have the fall colors, or any cool breezes quite yet! You’re so cute in your skirt, and I love the makeup too x
