Healthy Hair Care Favorites

The last time I set foot in a salon was back in February– it seems like so long ago! To be honest though, I usually only go two to three times a year to get a trim and color. I may be super low maintenance with my hair, but I do want it to look healthy. This week, I’m highlighting a few of my go-to hair care product favorites that help keep my hair hydrated, shiny and soft.

Shampoo & Conditioner

For shampoo and conditioner, my go-to’s for the past few months have been R+Co’s Television Shampoo and Conditioner. Be sure to read my full review on these! I love how clean yet soft my hair feels after using this line. 

Styling

For hair styling, lately I’ve been reaching for styling products from Moroccanoil. Products in this collection are infused with argan oil, which is super nourishing for hair. I like to spray the Moroccanoil All-in-One Leave-in Conditioner into damp hair. It helps to detangle, soften and protect my hair from thermal damage. Along with argan oil, it has superfoods and antioxidants to replenish strands. 

After drying and styling, I apply the Moroccanoil Volumizing Mist to my roots to help give my hair some lift. I have fine hair so any hair care product that helps give my hair more volume is much welcomed! The spray is lightweight so it doesn’t weigh my hair down and doesn’t make it hard and crunchy. I absolutely love the scent! 

I also like to lightly apply a tad of the Moroccanoil Treatment to the ends of my hair. This is pure argan oil and keeps my ends from getting dry and damaged. A little bit goes a long way though and you don’t want to apply too much or your hair will look greasy. 

Another hair care styling product I really like is the Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1 Texturizing Spray. It’s a dry finishing spray that can be spritzed onto roots to help build volume, add texture and can be used as a dry shampoo to refresh hair. It gives my hair some added fullness, smells amazing and works fantastically! 

Treatments

When it comes to deep conditioning my hair, the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask is a must. My hair feels so hydrated, soft, shiny and healthy-looking after using it. I’ve tried other deep conditioners and always come back to this one, it truly is the best. This intensive mask contains vitamin B5, argan oil, and biotin along with rosehip and sweet almond oils to restore and enhance hair. It’s especially great if your hair is on the dry side! 

Another go-to hair treatment is the Shea Moisture Coconut Oil Leave-in Treatment. It contains coconut milk, giving it a great milky texture to soften and nourish hair. It’s super hydrating for hair with argan, coconut, rosehip and sweet almond oils,  My hair instantly feels hydrated, is easier to brush and it smells SO good, like and island vacation. 

When I’m between salon visits or when my color is starting to look dull, I like to apply a hair gloss. My go-to is the Kristin Ess Signature Gloss, which can be used in the shower to instantly boost hair’s brilliance.
