Buxom Cosmetics recently dropped their White Russian collection & just like the cocktail it’s named after, it’s utterly delicious and highly satisfying. Actually, I’m not much of a White Russian cocktail drinker, I’ll just take The Dudes word for it. IYKYK. White Russian is one of Buxom’s most iconic plumping gloss shades and they created an entire collection around it. I’m not about it!

Let’s start with the beautiful White Russian Eye & Cheek Palette which boasts six eye shades and two Wanderlust Blushes. The eyeshadows are a mix of matte, shimmer, satin and sparkle finishes so you can really have some fun creating versatile looks. I love that the lightest cream shade and soft tan transition shades are matte. All the shadows are pigmented and the shimmer/sparkles are SO pretty! The shadows are fairly soft so they do have a little bit of fallout, however they blend nicely onto eyes. I like that the shades in the palette are suitable for every day wear– you can go soft and neutral or add some shimmer to glam it up!
The Wanderlust Blushes are beautiful– Moscow is the lighter pink and New York is the more rosy pink. They are extremely pigmented so I recommend using a light hand when applying.
For my look, I first applied the shade ‘Decadent’ to my crease and blending up and out. Next, I applied ‘Indulge’ to my entire lids. I then added ‘Smoke Show’ to my outter crease– this shade is absolutely gorgeous! I also added this shade to my lower lash line. To give my eyes dimension, I added ‘Reveal’ to the center of my lids. Finally, I applied the creamy ‘Take a Dip’ shade to my brow bone.
I applied ‘After Dark’ as a liner, smudging it to give my eyes a smokier vibe.
To finish the eye look, I applied a couple coats of the Buxom Xtrovert Mascara. I love a good volume building mascara and this one does a great job at building up lashes. I love that my lashes appear full and don’t look clumpy.
Using a fan brush, I applied Wanderlust Blush in ‘Moscow’ to the apples of my cheeks and blending back towards my ears and hairline. The fan brush helps to add just a touch of these super pigmented blushes. If you want a more natural looking blush, I highly recommend using a fan brush to apply!
For lips, I applied the Full Force Plumping Lipstick in the shade ‘White Russian’. This lipstick is super creamy, pigmented and conditioning. I love how the angled tip ‘hugs’ lips– it makes application SO easy! The soft nude pink shade is super pretty and is a great every day type of color, at least it will be for me. It does give a slight plumping effect and has a cooling tingle, but no stinging and it goes away within seconds.
I could not try this collection and leave it’s namesake out! I applied the Full-On Plumping Lip Cream in ‘White Russian’ over the lipstick to give my lips some added shine. As with the lipstick this non-shimmer lip cream gives a slight plumping effect and gives a slight tingling when applied. I can see why this is their most popular lip cream shade, it’s stunning and that perfect nude-pink. It would look amazing on a variety of skin tones from fair to dark.
I am smitten with this limited edition packaging. Isn’t it beautiful? Another plus, this lip cream contains vitamins A and E, hyaluronic acid and peptides to nourish and smooth lips. It feels very moisturizing and is super comfortable to wear. It also has a soft vanilla scent. This will easily become a go-to for me!
To finish my look, I applied the Wanderlust Glow Highlighter in ‘White Russian’ to the tops of my cheeks and inner corners of eyes. This highlighter is a gorgeous pink champagne shade and looks absolutely beautiful when applied. It gives a beautiful illuminating sheen without being shimmery. The highlighter is infused with a primer to make it creamy and easy to blend into skin. Love!
