For the past year, especially since I haven’t been wearing makeup as much, I’ve really put a focus on my skincare. One habit I have been trying to pick up is to give myself a weekly facial. I even bought a facial steamer, a scrubber & have been working my facial massage skills to bring the facial experience in my home. I’m definitely not pro-level esthetician, but I’ve been able to give myself some good self-care moments… and my skin has been thanking me!
Today I’m sharing an easy at-home facial / skincare routine using products from Elemis. Feel free to follow along using similar products you own!
I received these mini-sized products in an Elemis travel skin kit that is no longer available. However, you can still purchase the full-size versions of each of these products (trust me, you will want to!). Likewise, many can be found in other travel sets if you’re looking to try mini versions before making the commitment to full-3size.
Elemis is a British brand that focuses on anti-aging and skincare solutions with a focus on skin wellness. Their spa-quality products feature unique and natural-based ingredients. They have banned over 2,000 harmful ingredients including parabens, DEA, mineral oils and so much more. I love that the brand focuses on effective solutions and formulas while staying clear of harmful and irritating ingredients.
Here is what I thought of the products I tried:
White Flowers Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover: This liquid makeup remover is very gentle but works really well– it easily took off my eye makeup without me having to pull (yikes!) or scrub at the skin. It even removes waterproof makeup! It has a bi-phase formula infused with cooling white tea and hydrating white peony extract and is enriched with vitamin B5 to nourish eyelashes. I definitely plan on purchasing the full-size!
Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm: One of Elemis’ best-selling products, this cleansing balm melts away makeup and dirt gently while nourishing and hydrating the skin. My skin feels clean and so soft after using! It features elderberry and starflower oils along with a blend of 9 essential oils such as lavender, chamomile and eucalyptus. The balm has a nice, calming scent and is the perfect cleanser to use at the end of the day.
Superfood Blackcurrant Jelly Exfoliator: Exfoliators are not made equal and it can be challenging to find the right one for your skin. Some may be too abrasive or not strong enough. This jelly exfoliator is perfectly in between with its gentle blackcurrant scrub particles that work to remove dead skin cells leaving skin looking radiant. Along with omega-rich blackcurrant, it also contains black seed oil and grape seed oil that are rich in antioxidants and help to nourish skin.
Soothing Apricot Toner: If there was an award for best smelling toner, this would win hands down! This toner has a soft apricot scent and feels so nice on skin. It is alcohol-free and contains vitamin-rich apricot extract, pH balancing sweet betty flower and cleansing saponins. It leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed.
Pro-Collagen Marine Cream: As we age, our skin’s collagen supply decreases resulting in loose skin and wrinkles. This moisturizer not only hydrates but helps to smooth and plump skin as well with plant actives (calming rose and an anti-aging Mediterranean algae). My skin feels supple and super moisturized after applying.
