Vitamin C is one of my personal favorite skincare ingredients. It has potent antioxidant properties and helps regenerate skin cells to brighten dull skin and even out skin tone and smooth fine lines. As someone in her mid-thirties, I like to use vitamin C to help prevent signs of aging and keeping my skin looking it’s best. To achieve this, I recently added the Avon Anew Vitamin C collection to my routine. Keep reading to find out if you should be adding these products to your summer skin routine!
Body Care
We all know how amazing facial serums are, but have you ever tried a body serum? Similar to face serums, the Avon Anew Vitamin C Illuminating Body Serum should be applied to skin after cleansing but before lotion. This body serum helps to brighten skin with antioxidant-rich vitamins C and E, along with provitamin B5, sunflower seed oil to moisturize. I love how silky it makes my skin feel. Plus, it has illuminating properties to give skin a healthy sheen. Very cool product!
Another must-try vitamin C-infused body product is the Dry Body Oil. This feels amazing when rubbed into skin (self-massage, anyone?) and like the serum, has so many good-for-skin benefits. It’s super soothing & keeps my skin feeling moisturized and smooth.
Lip Care
As someone who suffers from dry lips, the Anew Vitamin C Smoothing Lip Scrub is a must. As the name implies, it scrubs away dead, dry skin to reveal smoother, softer lips. The vitamin C helps to renew lips while sugar crystals work to slough off dead skin.
I like to follow the scrub with the Overnight Lip Mask, which is super moisturizing. It contains shea butter to help nourish lips. It’s designed to wear overnight, however I love wearing it both day and night!
The only con for both of these to me is the price. $34 each is a bit pricey for a lip scrub and mask.
Facial Mask
The collection also features an Overnight Radiant Mask, designed to moisturize and brighten skin… while you sleep! I haven’t tried it yet (thanks, contact dermatitis) but it sounds promising. Along with vitamin C, the mask contains vitamin E, niacinamide, shea butter, and sunflower oil to nourish, moisturize and provide a more radiant skin tone.
Overall I am impressed with the collection. The Anew Vitamin C collection is available at avon.com. Do you use products with vitamin C?
