It’s that time of year… yes, dry skin is upon us. If you’re lucky to not have to deal with dry skin then I envy you. If you’re not, then you came to the right place! Keep an eye out for buzzy ingredients such as squalane and hyaluronic acid as these are two hydration powerhouses that target dry skin.

Cleanse & Soothe Dry Skin
Replenix Green Tea Gentle Soothing Cleanser is a soap-free cleanser that gently cleanses the skin without drying it out. It contains antioxidant-rich green tea, CoQ10 to minimize signs of aging along with vitamins A, C, and E to nourish skin and protect its moisture barrier. It is specifically made for sensitive skin and I love that it cleans my skin while being gentle and leaving it feeling smooth and hydrated.
Moisturize & Hydrate
For intensely hydrating moisturizers, I have been loving the Youth to the People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream. This super-rich cream contains squalane to boost hydration, ashwagandha to diminish signs of fatigue and stress, and fermented reishi mushroom extract to reduce inflammation, wrinkles and free-radical damage. It contains powerful ingredients but is still gentle on skin and is great for those with sensitive normal-to-dry skin types. I am just about out of my travel-size version and you can bet I will be purchasing the full-size moisturizer. At just ender $60, this moisturizer is worth the spend!
Speaking of squalane, the Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil is exquisite and a must to combat dry skin woes. This lightweight oil contains a sugarcane-derived squalane which works to protect the moisture barrier and lock hydration in the skin. It also contains a stable form of vitamin C to brighten skin, chios crystal oil to firm skin and rose extract to soothe skin. I can 100% see a difference when I use this oil– my skin looks so radiant and glowy!
Here’s a cool fact: Squalane was developed by Biossance as a plant-based, renewable alternative to squalene, an oil which has traditionally been unethically harvested from shark liver. The brand prides itself on saving millions of sharks each year, and rightfully so! Plus, the brand is one of few beauty brands that is EWG-verified.
Dry Skin Treatment
When it comes to ultra-hydrating overnight masks, the fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask cannot be beat. This two step mask features a cooling gel that contains soothing rosewater, hydrating & plumping hyaluronic acid and damask rose extract to support the moisture barrier. This is followed by applying a water-cream mask that features this neat time-release technology that gradually delivers moisturizing ingredients throughout the night. Cool, right? In the morning my skin feels SO soft, smooth and completely moisturized! If you have very dry skin, this is a must.
For most of the year, face mists are a take it or leave it for me. Are they nice to have? Sure? Absolutely necessary in my routine? Not usually. Except for when my skin is at it’s driest during the winter, then the Derma E Hydrating Facial Mist is an absolute must! And yes, my bottle is customized, thank you Derma E! This affordable skin mist instantly hydrates skin with a blend of hyaluronic acid, rosewater and coconut water. I like to spritz it on my skin as the last step in my skincare routine to really lock in moisture and give my skin that extra dose of hydration. It instantly cools and soothes my skin and feels absolutely amazing on my skin!
