I started Hello Blush Media a few years ago to offer advertising and marketing services to brands. As a small business owner with a home-based business, having the right tools available is a must to stay productive and keep my business running. Keep reading for my 5 home office tools that every small business owner needs to be productive and successful>>
Creativity Tools
Did you know that Cricut machines are not just for crafts but can be used for your business? With the Cricut Explore 3 you can cut, design, draw and more for DIY custom branded projects and more. The machine cuts 100+ materials including vinyl, cardstock, iron-ons and more. It’s 2x faster than previous versions so you can spend more time on your business and less time cutting.
The free Design Space app is fairly easy to use. I watched a couple YouTube videos and a few TikToks to learn some tips and to help me out when I was stuck. I can use the design app on my computer, phone or iPad– the Cricut Explore 3 features Bluetooth so it makes connecting and cutting a breeze!
Cricut Explore 3 works with Smart Materials so no mat is needed- you just load the material in and press go. So easy! I like utilizing the Cricut cutting machine to create custom branded items. I can upload my logo (or use similar fonts) to make custom coffee mugs, signs, stickers, thank you cards, business cards and more! Smart Vinyl was used to create a Hello Blush Media coffee cup and love how it came out. I can take my coffee cup on-the-go and share my business everywhere I go! I’m currently working on creating a custom sign for Hello Blush Media using the Cricut and can’t wait to share. Maybe I should start offering merch as well!
You can find Cricut materials online and at your local craft store. I highly recommend purchasing the tool kit as well, it is so helpful and makes creating so much more easier.
Many creators have even started their own small businesses by selling their custom Cricut creations. I love that Cricut allows you to be so creative and productive at the same time!
Time Management Tools
Having good time management skills is much needed when running your business and there’s no better way to keep track of time than with G-SHOCK. Not just any watch, G-SHOCK is tough and shock resistant, yet is available in on-trend stylish designs.
The GMAS120SR-7A transparent rose gold watch features a cool clear band with a beautiful rose-gold face. Not only is this G-SHOCK shock resistant, it is magnetic resistant and 200M water resistant as well. I love that it illuminates, has a stopwatch, world time, an alarm, and a battery life of 3+ years.
For me, time blocking is one of my best time management techniques. I batch my projects into blocks of time so I can make sure I get done what needs to get done. I set aside a specific amount of time to work on those projects– maybe it’s just an hour or maybe more. Keeping an eye on the time is important when time blocking and this G-SHOCK helps me do that easily.
Productivity Home Office Tools
Being productive is not always easy when it comes to owning a small business. For home office tools, I like to use the HoverBar Duo iPad stand to adjust my iPad where I need it. This adjustable stand is perfect to hold my iPad in place for video conference calls, bookkeeping, working on client accounts and more.
The stand features a weighted base as well as a shelf clamp so I can use it on the desktop or attached to a shelf. I love that it frees up my hands so I can take notes or browse freely. Plus, the height can be adjusted to wherever I need it. My neck doesn’t feel so sore from constantly looking down, I can straighten up and use my iPad at eye height!
Whether you are using this tablet stand for business or personal use, it’s a must. Take 15% off HoverBar Duo at twelvesouth.com now through June 30th when you use discount code HOVERBAR at checkout.
Planning & Writing Tools
When it comes to owning a small business, staying on top of the never-ending to-do list is a must. The Levenger Carrie Leather Pen Case is the perfect size to make sure you are never far from your to-so list or paper for jotting down notes. This beautiful, soft-pebbled leather case contains slots for four pens. It also fits 3×5 notecards so you can jot down ideas, lists and more!
As the business-savvy Richard Gilmore said, ‘never be without a pen’, and the TrueWriter Classic Sparkle Rollerball Pen is one you won’t want to be without. It’s a must for keeping track of plans, lists and notes. The pen features a luxe gold-plated tip and details with a gold flecked resin barrel- it’s so pretty! I love how balanced and comfortable the pen feels when writing. If I have good writing tools, I’ll always stay on top of my small business priorities.

That is a very helpful post actually! I just got back to work after maternity leave and as I work from home I find my home office in need of those basics 🙂
Okay, but a Cricut has been on my wishlist for YEARS! One of these days I really need to invest in one because I know I would be constantly creating something new as a gift or home decor or what have you. Also, love that stand for your iPad. I don’t have an iPad, but I could see myself even using something like that for my phone! Such great gadgets here!
The watch looks and sounds cool. I need that iPad stand!

Wow these all look so cool! I’ve been wanting a Cricut since forever! I love that you make so many neat things with it! I have a G-Shock watch too and I love it. It’s perfect for everyday but also for travel and hiking. And I’ve definitely got like 40 planners haha!

Now I want everything! That watch is so cute!
These are some great home office tools! I especially love the iPad stand. Super handy! And yes, time management is a must.
I’m OBSESSED with my Cricut! I bought the small Cricut Joy in the Fall. I love being able to design my own fun labels, cups and for craft projects.
I want a Cricut machine so baaaad!!! I almost caved and bought one for my wedding but realized I would only use it for one project so it wouldn’t be a good investment for my money, but still!
