Would you believe I’m not wearing mascara above? I recently received my first lash lift and tint from Stellar Aesthetics and Academy and have been so impressed with the results. A lash lift is basically what it sounds like– a process that lifts and curls your lashes. The effect lasts about 6-8 weeks and looks so natural. No mascara needed!
Keep reading as I walk you through the entire lash lift and tint process >>
Above are the before photos of my lashes and brows. You can see that my lashes are pretty straight with no natural curl and light brown in color. They are perfect for a lash lift!
The Process
A silicone shield is applied to the upper eyelid, which not only holds the lashes but helps protect the delicate skin around the eye. The lashes are then combed upwards and isolated onto the shield with a bonding solution. My lash specialist uses products that are plant-based and will not harm my lashes.
I also had a brow lamination and tint done at the same time. You can read my first-time brow lamination experience here.
For the lash lift, once the lashes are bonded to the shield, a lifting/curling lotion is applied. This lotion is similar to a perming solution to help lashes stay curled upwards. The formula is gentle as to not damage lashes. Lashes are processed for about 15 minutes. After the lifting lotion is removed, a fixing lotion is then applied. The fixing lotion neutralizes the lashes and fixes the new curl into place and is left on for about 5-7 minutes.
After removing the fixing lotion, the lashes are then tinted with a dye. It’s important for the lash specialist to use a good quality tint for a dark and long-lasting effect. The tint is left on for about 5-10 minutes. A Keratin shine repair may also be added to give lashes a healthy sheen and shine. The silicone shield is then removed and the eye area cleaned very well.
The Results
The entire process takes about an hour end result is gorgeous dark, lifted lashes! I absolutely love how my lashes turned out, it makes such a difference. My eyes look more open and I love that I don’t need to curl my lashes or even wear mascara!
Ella at Stellar Aesthetics And Academy did an amazing job. She was so attentive and meticulous, which is much appreciated when working on my sensitive eye area. While the process is slightly uncomfortable– I mean, there are silicone shields taped to your eyelid– I would certainly get another lash lift. If done right by a professional, there should be no damage to lashes. If you are in the Orange County/ Southern California area, I highly recommend making an appointment with Stellar Aesthetics and Academy!
What do you think, have you or would you get a lash lift?
Oh wow! I’ve never actually seen how this process is done. This is super informative and really neat! Love the results – your eyes do look more open and your lashes look amazing!! Love that it’s not too time consuming either and the results last for a while.

I had been regularly getting lash extensions a few years ago and when my esthetician suggested a lash lift, I was so worried! I have itty bitty, sparse lashes and thought there was no way a lift would do anything to make them better – but I was wrong! I loved the lash lift and how little I had to worry about them afterward – unlike the amount of care that needs to go into extensions. It’s definitely something I’d do more often, if I made space in my budget for it!
So glad you loved your lash lift! I agree, it’s a great treatment for lashes!
I love seeing the results from procedures like this! Lash lifts and brow lamination seem like such practical procedures, especially if you don’t enjoy doing makeup every day but like the look. I’ve never tried them before, but I get more and more interested every time I see it done.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience.
I had a question in my mind that is these products are generally natural or some chemicals are added to these products?
