Summer is here and I am ready to break out the shimmer! During the summer season I prefer soft, lightweight makeup looks that are quick to create. This season, eye shimmers are on trend so I wanted to incorporate them into a shimmer eye makeup look. This look is perfect for vacation, brunch, or any fun summer day!

For this look, I begin with a prepped face with moisturizer and Supergoop! Glow Screen SPF 40. I apply a dab of concealer under the eyes and spot conceal on my face where needed. I seal with my trusty Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Face Powder SPF 16.
Creamy Shimmer Eye Makeup
These are anything but your typical cream eyeshadows! Along with an ultra-creamy texture, the Supergoop! Shimmershade SPF 30 is the first eyeshadow to feature SPF 30. The eyeshadows contain a hybrid mineral and clean chemical sunscreens to keep eyes protected from harmful UV rays.
For my shimmer eye makeup look, I first applied the pink-toned shade ‘Daydream’ to my lid and blending up into my crease. These eyeshadows are super soft and blend really well. They can be applied with a synthetic brush or simply with your finger.
Next, I blended the bronze-brown shade ‘Sunset‘ into my crease and outter v. I also applied this to my upper and lower lash line as an eyeliner… so pretty! With my finger, I dabbed the soft gold shade ‘Golden Hour‘ onto the center of my lids to add dimension. For highlight, I applied the pearly champagne shade ‘First Light‘ to inner corners and brow bone. Both ‘Golden Hour’ and ‘First Light’ would work as highlighter on cheeks as well!
I love how pretty and pearlescent these shades are– each one is just gorgeous. They apply nicely, blend easily and stay put throughout the entire day. When I took these photos, I had been wearing the eyeshadows the whole day– no touch-up needed!
All four shades are very wearable, super pretty and work across different skin tones. Using my finger to apply provided the most pigmented application, but a fluffy brush can be used for a softer, more blended look. You can bet I’ll be wearing these all summer long!
Perfected Lashes and Brows
My eyes are definitely not complete without brows and lashes done! For brows, I used the Avon fmg Cathycat High Arch Precision Brow Pencil to pencil in sparse areas. I then used the spoolie side to comb the color through for natural-looking brows.
This is a cream-to-powder brow pencil so it glides on smoothly for natural-looking strokes. I really like how natural the color looks and how long-wearing the formula is!
I then applied the Avon fmg Cathycat Play All Day Mascara to lashes. This water-resistant and budge-proof formula instantly gave my lashes some much needed volume and length. I like how soft and natural it left my lashes– it’s definitely not a full dramatic lash mascara, but it is great for a polished look on hot summer days.
To finish the look, I used a peach-colored blush– Glossier Cloud Paint in ‘Beam’, and a dab of lip gloss. All set! What do you think? Will you try this eye makeup look this summer?

Wow great news. You look fantastic, that’s going to have to on my list of items to try.
I had absolutely no clue that Supergoop had makeup! Those shimmery eye shadows are stunning and I love that they have SPF in them. I already like Supergoop’s sunscreen (one of the best beneath makeup), so I may have to try these out as well. Stunning look for summer!
Love this pretty makeup look! I didn’t know Supergoop made makeup, I just get their sunscreens. I’ll have to check it out, I love the shades you used!
